IEA Road Show – Bioenergy at Delft University of Technology

Delft University of Technology is the final destination of the “IEA Road Show “, which features special topic events organized at different universities in The Netherlands. In each location a different aspect of IEA in the energy world will be highlighted. At Delft this event will take place on Sustainability Day, a special day: Friday 11-11-11.

A bio-based economy will be the central theme here. This IEA workshop is being organised by the Process & Energy Department of Delft University of Technology and will focus on the work of the International Energy Agency. Contributors to the programme include external guests who are experts in the field and have close ties to the IEA. The programme will also highlight TU Delft’s research on innovative biorefinery technologies.

The workshop will start with an insight into the IEA and its research activities, followed by an in-depth account of current research into energy conversion with a particular emphasis on biomass conversion technologies. The workshop will close with a forum discussion, offering you the opportunity to exchange your views with the panel. Prof.dr.ir.drs. Hester Bijl, director of the Delft Energy Initiative, will be chairing the workshop.

This is a unique chance to familiarise yourself with the working field of the IEA, an international gateway to a wealth of knowledge in energy technologies; and more specifically to broaden your knowledge and expertise on bioenergy gasification and biorefinery technologies.

Please reserve this date in your agenda and register via the ‘Register for Seminar’ tab. A detailed programme is given under ‘Schedule’.
